Nature Deficit Disorder?

I came across a magazine article today that spoke about free play; providing opportunities for physical activity to occur, and how it brings people of all ages together.  It mentioned a book that I feel inclined to read.  Below is an excerpt about it.

it's raining, it's pouring...

my baby j is sick.  so, if the rain and cold air don't let up by the time we're supposed to meet, you may not find us there today.  he's been fighting this cold for days now...have fun in the puddles!

we missed you!

silly me, i hadn't realized that this past week was march break.  so lo and behold, when we arrived at the playground, it was no wonder why there were tons of children!  if you were there waiting for me but couldn't pick me out from the other adults, i'm truly sorry. i apologize for not making myself more visible.  for future reference, we drive a blue BOB stroller.  jaxson (my son) and i took advantage of the gorgeous weather regardless and we hope you did too!  again, we missed you!  but we definitely hope to see you this tuesday!  Cinzia
